single moms fighting breast cancer
to relieve some of the stress caused by illness and treatment.
OUR STORY
We Keep On Fighting
Kerri was a 40-something single mom who was diagnosed with breast cancer and unable to work her full-time job while facing her battle with the disease. Her school-aged teenage son experienced the impact firsthand as to how it affected their daily routine. Therefore, as a result of seeing the goodness that came from the community helping Kerri in her time of need, Kerri’s Fight was formed shortly after, in 2015, to help other women.
Kerri’s Fight shows kindness and support in a small way that makes a big difference in these families. Funds raised are not to be used for medical bills or daily expenses, instead the money goes to the mom and her children so that new memories can be made. Whether it is a day at the amusement park, dinner and the movies, or a small weekend getaway, the monies are specified for the enjoyment of the family. The burden of not being able to do for her children, which we usually take for granted, can be somewhat eased during her time of illness.
The community’s support and fundraising efforts help ease the financial and emotional burden that comes with cancer. We have personally witnessed the positive impact on these families over the years and are inspired to continue with the mission of helping single mothers battling breast cancer.

Join the Fight
Our mission at Kerri’s Fight is to support single mothers who are battling in a fight for their lives against breast cancer. In 2015, we held our first event sponsoring Kerri herself. She, and the many mothers like her, are the motivation and inspiration to continue the fight and Pay It Forward.
Who We've Helped
Kerri’s Fight came into my life at a time when I needed them most. After two years of battling cancer and breast reconstruction, it can quickly exhaust you and your family.
We often forget what having fun is like because you and your family are jolted into a constant cycle of doctor appointments and surgeries. Life as you once knew it no longer exists, and the financial strain becomes tall mountains that seem impossible to tackle. I was constantly concerned about the toll and the drain this was taking on my family and me.
When contacted by Jacob, I couldn’t believe it!! I was excited to learn about the organization and his mother’s journey. The organization blessed me with an incredibly generous gift of $1,000 right before Christmas! I was so amazed and overjoyed!! I was out of work for 12 weeks, and this generous donation was indeed a God-sent. I will never forget this organization and how it truly brought a ray of sunshine during a dark season in my life and my children who had to ride this breast cancer rollercoaster with me.
